In Hughes v. Hughes, 213 Md. 452, 132 A.2d 119.( 1957) the court stated that in divorce proceeding brought by husband, evidence was sufficient to establish voluntary separation of husband and wife 30 years before.
The court further stated that where husband and wife had voluntarily separated 30 years before husband filed bill for divorce, and husband had lived with another woman and they had had several children, and wife’s objection to divorce was not based on religious scruples, husband was entitled to divorce so that issue might be legitimatized, and wife, whose health was impaired so that she could not continue to work to support herself, was entitled to alimony
