The Supreme Court of Virginia held in Stolfi v. Stolfi, a divorce case arising out of the Circuit Court of Alexandria, that the wife who, without notice to husband, took couple’s young children and considerable sum of money and bonds belonging to couple to another state, who embarrassed husband by appealing to his superior officer for allotment, and who produced no evidence other than her own testimony that she was subjected to cruelty by husband, unjustifiably abandoned husband and was not entitled to divorce a mensa et thoro, and husband was entitled to divorce a mensa et thoro and should not have been required to provide funds for maintenance and support of wife.
